Guest Speaker's Bio:

Timothy Quek (Associate, Member of the BlackRock Singapore Client Business Team)

Timothy Kwek, Associate, is a member of the BlackRock Singapore Client Business Team within BlackRock's APAC Wealth Group. He is responsible for client servicing, and providing support to the sales team's initiatives and client deliverables. He is also responsible for maintaining client relationship and business development across online platforms, selected private banks and financial advisory firms.

Prior joining BlackRock, he was an intern at OCBC's capital markets financial institutions team. He provided analysis of the regional bank's business processes and needs. He liaised with external vendors to execute and solidify business initiatives. Timothy has also completed an internship with Maybank in their compliance department where he reviewed and vetted marketing materials and prospectus. Timothy graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Economics majoring in Finance and Financial Economics.

Eugene Lau (Vice President, Southeast Asia Financial Institutions, Franklin Templeton)

Eugene Lau is part of Franklin Templeton’s Financial Institutions team, managing retail distribution channels. Eugene has over 15 years of Asset Management industry experience, predominantly in Retail Business Development and Client Servicing.

He was previously with UOB Asset Management (2021 to 2022), Legg Mason (2019 to 2020), Allianz Global Investors (2013 to 2019) and Aberdeen Asset Management (2007 to 2013). During the foundation years in his career, he performed Business Control and Operational Risk Management. Eugene graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business from the University of London.
